Today on the way home from work my truck was suddenly having, like a burst of power. The best way I can explain it is: like in the arcade racing games when you hit the "nitro," it would suddenly just take off and run. I have been hardly driving it till last week (no its winter here) and I haven't recently fixed anything. So any thoughts would be nice.
Also on a side note my Battery light is on. I have 3 good batteries and a on board battery charger that I plug in every night so the batteries should be mostly charged all the time. This isn't causing any problems other than my curiosity.
I have no idea, the fuel guage dosen't work. I just switch tanks if it starts to run out. I have an electric fuel pump which helps that situation a bit.
AIR an electric pump will suck air as well as a mechanical one. Your problem is between the e-pump and the tank. It is possible that your filter is stopped up, or your ip is on it's way out, but I would suspect air.
I hope its not the IP, I just put that on last fall and its only got maybe 500 miles on it.
I just thought of this: tonight when I got home I left the fuel pump running and bled the schrader valve and got a little burp of air. But I haven't bled it in forever.
The voltage should be the same pretty much everywhere, but the battery is the best place to check. If you have a voltmeter, check it while its not running and when it is. It should be around 12 with engine off and 13-14.5 or so running. You may need to raise the rpms a little to see full voltage.
