Quick question on IPR valve

Once the IPR valve is installed can the connector part of it be turned independent of the rest of it? Will it effect the function of it?

Thanks for the reply. I was trying to pull mine to check the screen in it but the dang thing would not come out. Thought I was turning it at one point and then realized I was only turning half of it. Aint !@#$ for room when trying to take it out. Guess Ill just wait and see if it ever takes a dump on me.
