Had a little problem with my feedback carb today. Went to start it so floored the pedal to set the chock and it stuck wide open. When I checked it out I found that the part that the cable connects to on the carb was hanging up on another part that looks like it connects to the auto chock. Sorry but don't know what these parts are called. Anyways, the throttle linkage part has a tab that is 90* to the linkage plate. Looks like it is suppose to stop up against the part that goes to the auto chock. Anyone have any idea what the purpose of this is? That's if you can understand what I trying to explain. Fixing it was easy but really like to know what causes something to fail, not just fixing it.
I tried to get some pictures of it yesterday but they just didn't come out so you could see what I'm talking about. But I did find a parts breakdown and it's the throttle linkage that's hanging up on the fast idle cam. I can understand wear and abuse but the carb is only about 2 years old and very few miles.
