Throttle sticking problem
I have had some problems lately with the throttle sticking. I have rebuilt that carb and checked all the linkage but can't seem to make it go away. It comes and goes and there is no rhyme or reason as to when or why it does it. Does anybody have any past experience with this? It is about to drive me crazy trying to figure this out so any help with be very much appreciated.

Is your carb throttle cable old? If so, it may be fraying inside the sleeve, and causing it to stick at random. If your truck is old enough to have the solid type linkage, you may simply have a worn bushing that needs replacing. I wouldn't blame the carb for the throttle sticking directly...more likely what's in between the pedal and the carb that's causing the problem.

Is cold when this happines, If so the carb could be frosting over this can cause the throttle to stick. The stock air cleaner has a heat riser that comes off of the exust, thsi keeps this from happining.

It doesn't do it at any certain time, it just kind of happens. I will drive it for a couple miles stop shut it off and come out an hour or so later and it will run fine or vice versa. Like I said there is no rhyme or reason to it.
