I just re-read RedDragon's first post. He did say he has new "batteries". I am not familiar with vehicles with more than one battery. Even more of a chance of a connection problem if there are two.
There is another solenoid on the starter it's self . Have somebody turn the key to start position and check for power at the small wire that activates the solenoid on the fender ,if it has power it should activate the solenoid and you should have power at both large terminals ,which would mean there should be power at the starter ,check for bad connections at the starter ,loose starter bolts as somebody all-ready stated and if all that looks good I would pull the starter and have it checked.
It is possible that you might have some cable corrosion down under the battery cable insulation which will result in a poor connection but not visible to the naked eye.
Bad battery comes to mind first, but bad connections will do the same. Any dash lights? A loose connection on your F5 should allow cranking but no starting.
Got it started and got it home. I noticed the rubber boot on the neg cable on the starter had rubbed off and the wire was making contact with the shifter line going to the tranny. I pulled the line away and banged on starter. I wouldn't think grounding out the neg cable would matter. Still have more troubleshooting to do though.
