it's good to have it back together,just hope this idle issue isnt something else,pulled a code p0300 and p0302 for a bit and then it went away.any idea how long you have to run it till the computer recallibrates

RAM7880 I am thinking that it resets after 70-100 miles?? That's what it took on my 98' My OBDII reader does not work on this truck so I can't tell. The fact that your pulling random misfire and miss on #2 sound like something else. Like a COP or boot. Did you replace boots? If it persists with P302 I would swap the COP on #2 with one from #5-8. If the code jumps to that side you know it's the COP. The good thing is that you’re not getting P304.

first off thanks again for your input Cofcmsc, the check engine light went off so only time will tell right now.I am going to go over everything as far as conections and the cop's to double check and put some miles on her.wish there was an easier way to check the cop's and I got to figure out the cylinder numbers before i start moving things around!
