Yup it would **** me off for sure. I dont know why you'd let some J.O. wash your truck though with all the idol time at the firehouse, sorry just sayin. Good luck with it.
I NEVER take my truck to carwashs... But it was covered in mud and I have no free time anymore. And when I do I'm usually exhausted... So I decided to take it there. I've been there before and I was passing by.
Is the place going to pay for the damage? Never gone to a commercial car wash before. Only time anyone else does it is usually the charity events or bikini washes....not in that order
That is very hurtful ..... I feel your pain. Most car washes I have seen are covered with disclaimers about damage to vehicles not being their responsibility. Hope you can get retribution. Was it the car wash or a person that caused the damage?
I know it wasnt under the mud. It was just surface mud and the scrape would have been obvious. Thats the side of the truck I approach coming out of my house in the morning.
I have a friend who used to work there and he thinks they didnt properly align the truck on the track. So it was caused by the car wash due to the person. I dont think its gonna matter too much. Sounds like my insurance is just gonna come look, kick a couple tires and say "Alright. We got you covered."
The car wash is the only way my truck gets washed. The water out of my well is way too hard to be washing your vehicles. It will leave spots no matter how fast you dry it off. Also, you do not want to be washing your truck when it is 20 degrees outside, but you have to get the salt off.
Knowing this, I take mine to car washes that I know can handle a truck this size, plus the management has a reputation to make things correct when things do go wrong.
My 17 year old just left for day three at a local ford dealer car wash for his job. He has already told me some pretty crazy stories about how cars get wrecked there from time to time. Mostly due to young kids goofing around. His main job is prepping new cars and trucks for the lot and then again when they sell. Lucky little ***** drives a new super duty everyday.
