Yeah, collision coverage will take care of it, but if it goes on your insurance it can hurt your premiums.

In California insurance rates do not go up based on claims, only based on YOUR driving record. The DMV maintains a points system and that is how insurance decides how to charge you. I made it clear that I was not driving and my claim shows "N/A" under the driver section so my rates will not be affected.

OOH,
There would be more than just heads rolling. It reminds when me and my parents were in the local store its just a small store stop by and get gas store really and we got everything we needed and headed out and there was a huge dent in our 2002 ext cab F250 (that we traded in) We looked around and nobody was around could of hit it from there but people are in and out full time and we parked in plain sight. Well whoever did it we never caught but we were past mad. Just the other day we were in our new crew cab 2002 F250 and some guy in chevy decided to pull out in front of us and almost run into us and I jumped out of the passanger door (I don't have my learners permit just yet) and I went up to the driver's door of that Chevy and started yelling at him. You don't mess with a man's truck that is almost like messing with a man's woman. I promised my dad and my self there will be nobody and I mean nobody who hurts this new truck without seeing my evil side. I mean come on just because you can't afford something dosen't mean you need to destroy somebody else's property. Nobody's hurt my dad's ol' 1986 F150 or even attempt that what makes me the most mad. Anyways I wouldn't go to that carwash anymore. We have a do it yourself carwash in town so we use that until we get enough money to get our garage built and buy a pressure washer (we don't have enough pressure from a spicket.)

Back when was just out of high school I worked at a car wash in Phoenix, Az. Since I was raised around cars, I always admired and respected them, but none of the guys I worked with did. You wouldn't believe the damage caused by careless jackasses at the car wash. And not one of the guys ever admitted doing the damage. They'd act dumb (at least I think it was an act...) or claim it was on there when the customer showed up. The owners of the business weren't any better, they'd basically go out, look over the car and tell the car's owner they doubt it happened there, but they'd pay for it, then talk crap about the guy after he left. Needless to say, I didn't work there long, and I only wash my own vehicles since then.

I know that people get shot over that but he was just about 2inches literally from it and I wasn't going to let that get by. My family knows that theses trucks on our lot are like kids to me so one dent is like somebody hurting your child you know if somebody gets near to hurting your child you aren't just gonna sit there you are going to protect them. Well thats how I exactly am I try to stop it but it is one thing that is like a curse to me.

I seriously admire your passion, but over inanimate objects, and accidents that are not intentional.... Just a bit over the top, you really need to calm it a bit, for your own good. The way you speek its as if you never make any mistakes or have accedents. Trust me Trav they happen, and usually with out malace or ill will. They are, and could be the result of recklessness but usually not.

I remember a time 10 years ago when I was backing out of a spot at a 7-11, I backed up while looking over one sholder and not the other and caved in the rear quater panel of a brand new firebird... The guy was not upset, he said insurance will fix it and nobody was hurt so nothing was really lost. Im not usually a bad driver but that moment i was in a hurry and made a mistake... Luckilly for me the other driver had the maturity of knowing what is really important in life, and didnt make the moment worse.

Like i said Trav, I admire your passion, but I think its misplaced... Hope you dont take offense to this, and take away the positive in it.

accident and intentional are completely different and require different resolutions to resolve the problem however in most cases in the real (grown up) world physical confrontation is not the answer..what if the person who pulled in front of you was a 85 year old woman you gonna get out and yell at her...I have two small children I can`t compare my sentiments regarding them to my truck...it`s just a truck

I do mistakes and I will admit to that I don't tke offense to nothing so its ok. I know everybody mistakes but heres the thing I might calm down later on in about a year or so but heres the thing. In june we had a house fire that made us lose our whole entire house and I am not kidding about this. Well part of the victims was two cars and a Harley Davidson. Well me and my was talking to the insurance person and she said we need to be more careful because if we get into an accident and they see it they might not pay us and take us to court on fraud. I know it sounds ridiculos but I am telling the truth I am usually not this protective over our trucks but we can't afford to lose any amount of money in this economy you probably understand.

I probably wouldn't and I know I need to calm down I know its just a truck and I know it is hard to compare your kids to your truck but if you read below you will understand (I hope) so just please read this posting all the way because this is the cold hard truth:

Trav, Trav, Trav, IDK what to say...

I feel bad that you guys had a loss this year with the fire and all, but there is no way you can justify your actions because of the misfortune with the fire and the poor economy. To make a physical confrontation...

The thing that seperates us from animals is the idea of living within a society... Its not perfect, but its the plan and it needs all of our help, im getting off point but the bottom line is, violence is not justified for that, maybe if it was a drunk driver.... or possibly a street race in progress, but an accedent, no way.
If you family is in such a perdicament with the insurance... the only answer is to not drive... seriously, that is the only answer because you cant control accedents, unless your not there to be in them...

And just a hypothetical senerio here... there is no insurance company that will say something like... Oh you got in an accedent, but your son got out and beat the other drivers AZZ, well then yes we will cover you... You would most likely end up in jail and compound the problems.

Not to mention, the laws now are written in a way that you probobly could have been charged with a crime for even getting out and confronting the driver in the first place. But your just a kid and dont think of those things huh?

I thought long and hard about what you said and I am going think some more on this but I know that I didn't think about that. I will try my hardest to take a chill pill if you know what I mean. I really think that is true about all that you said in the second paragraph. I just want to grow up and be a good man and all so I am deffenitally trying not to be a crazy sun of a gun if you know what mean. Thanks alot for trying to teach me something.
