If I were 8 lug I would try to find a set of those Alcoa's that came on the mid-90's f250s. I have heard of people taking the f100 running gear and putting it under an f250. There was a guy on here that did it, cannot remember the name though.
I have a 72 f250 and I hate having the 8 lug since it limits the choices I have for wheels.
Anyone ever swap their f250 to five or six lug?
I have a 72 f250 too, and i hate the 16.5 rims, they have ONE choice for offroad tires 33" and bigger. Im looking to go down to a 16" and go big rubber. Do you know the lug pattern? is it 8x6.5"?
I was wondering the same thing about the 8lug. I'm not sure what the pattern actually is.
Can anyone chime in?
Is it interchangeable with any other makes?
Ok, I will start.
245/45/20 front and 285/50/20 on back. 20x8 Dodge spares.

Dodge 20" mounted (all 5). 1" spacer on the spare mount. 245/45r20's all around.
I have a question for the 20" Dodge spare wheel guys. Did any of y'all run into clearance issues in the rear? I installed my 20" Dodge spares this past weekend & there is very little clearance between the tire & the inner wheel well. In fact, it appears that my axle is off center b/c it practically rubs on the passenger side & has just under an inch clearance on the driver side. I'm going to install a traction/pan hard bar to keep it centered but I was wondering how much room y'all had to spare & what you did to correct it?
When I went short stepside there was clearance problems between one side. I ended up running a 1" spacer for the side that needed it and 1" spacer for my spare carrier. We measured before and after and the axle was equally spaced side to side and bed was centered, but wheel clearance was still off. I had 2" spacers when I was still long fleetside but ended up being way too wide(flareside fenders were so narrow. I got the spacers from below.
