Thats one hell of a truck Filthy, Are you really from Norman, Oklahoma or does your truck just say that? I'm from Moore, so im practically next door to Norman. Hit me up maybe we can get some guys from the Central Oklahoma chapter together and have a truck show or something
Im actually in Edmond. But, when I was in school at OU, all of my friends would hang out at my buddy Luke's house. It was the hangout, where we would have all the parties, and then any given day, we woudl always be wreching on our Mustangs. Luke's Garage was born. We called it LGRacing. So, we built a website, and the rest was history. That was about 10 years ago, and we have all grown up, and moved on with life. Now that I'm in the process of rebuilding this truck, I gave it a quick faux "shop truck" paint job. And of course, Lukes Garage was the name I used. Its very temporary, and will only be on there, until I end up sanding through it.
I hope to have the truck finished before the Hot Rod Nationals come back to OKC, in April.
Awesome. are you an NSRA member? I'll probably be at Street Rod Nationals this spring (god willing) and maybe ill see you there. who knows, maybe my truck will be side by side with yours. I'm diggin the old rustic paint job actually. kind of has an old timey rat rod feeling. beautiful truck man, and i hope your resto goes well.
well, i dont have any pictures of the thing,, but when i get 'er im gonna slap on some 16x8 Pacer Black Daytona wheels and wrap them with LT245/75R16 BFGoodrich Commercial T/A tires.. yea bullet-proof tires right? off roading, jumping curbs, hitting potholes, carrying heavy loads, hehe i love 'em.
Bought it from mar-k out of Oklahoma city. They sell all kinds of custom bed stuff. It's been about 12 years sence I bought this stuff but from memory roll pan was 80 tailgate panel was 125 and tailgate handel relocation kit was 75. They have a web sight you can check out for updated prices.
I have this set, minus tires; i'm willing to part with. you'd wanna use 1.5" spacers depending on your tire width to avoid rubbing in the rear tub.
if you are in indiana you could drive here to chicago to pick'em up.
I have been looking at using these wheels. How did you got the silver ring? Is it just sanded down to the metal or what? If so what did you use to get it to the raw metal. Did you clear over it? And does the silver go into the "crease" of the wheel? A close up pic would be great help if you could get one. Thanks a lot, its a killer looking truck.
