Tranny Leak

Got under the truck to do the second oil change and there is red trans fluid everywhere. Never noticed any on the ground. Anybody else have this problem.

Nope. To date, I haven't seen my rig leave a drop of any kind of fluid on my garage floor. Did you have any type of service done, take the truck off road, or do something different than you have in the past?

No issue here, either.
I was under mine looking around Friday and no fluid leaks anywhere.
Take it to your dealer so they can fix it.
How's your transmission fluid level?

My neighbors 350 DRW is in the shop for tranny issues. Told me there's several 6.7's in there at the same time. Talked to my buddy who's a service manager and he said the same thing. Lots of tranny issues lately.

Did not have any fluid show up on the floor. Slide under and take a look. Never had mine off road.

Ford Tech called today and said they know its leaking because the fluid is all over the place, but they can't figure out why it's leaking. They said if they can't find out where it's leaking, then there's no real problem.

Where's the logic in that statement they provided you?
I guess they want a CEL now?
Keep having them work on it to figure out the issue.

tell them to remove the trans and pressure test the torque converter. not a real big issue to handle.

Well the service department finally figured it out. According to them, the rear seal that connects the transfer case is leaking. The only problem they said is that they have no way of breaking the nut in front of the seal. They keep breaking sockets and Ford cannot give them a solution.

thats becasue they are using an impact gun. they need either a bigger gun and a 3/4" drive socket or a really big 3/4" ratchet. just my .02 anyway.
