Tranny Fluid Leak

My 99 7.3 likes to drop tranny fluid when it sits unstarted for 2 or more days. My wife uses it daily, but on the weekends it sometimes goes unstarted/moved, so that on Mondays I notice a fairly large driveway stain (six inch diameter). The level in the truck doesn't change that much, but obviously, I must add some thoughout the year. I'm not the "wrench" I once was, but any suggestions/ideas. I suspect a main seal getting tired.Thanks. Chris

I'd start with a good thorough cleaning (I'd spray solvent, then pressure wash) of the entire area which the fluid could be coming from. Then you will be able to pinpoint the location where the drip begins, report the results back here, and we can go from there.

Just as a point of interest to me...Have you changed your tranny fluid on a regular basis while you have owned the truck? If so, about how often?
