You can stand in front of the headlights if your feet are turned slightly, in front of the grill is a no although it is wide enough to move heel to toe from one side of truck to the other. If it stuck out about 2-3 more inches would be perfect. I wear a size 11 in my work boots and can stand enough on the sides to work on it. Climbing up and over is the fun part but not near as fun as getting down, can't hardly see the tow hook getting down to aid as a step.
Here is a Ranchhand like Tylus mentioned on my 05, from just about every angle. The plate behind the license plate I made to cover where a winch would go, otherwise that area would be open.
Did you buy the truck with that bumper on it or did you buy it. That's what I am looking for. I want to be able to stand up when I replace my next oil cooler!!
I had a buckstop bumper on my chevy. it is by far the best bumper Iv ever had, Iv taken outa few street signs and rear ended a dodge with it. nada scratch on my truck and when I rear ended the dodge the only thing it did was bend the top guard that protects the lights.. it didnt even bend in enough to touch the truck. word of advice if you get one you can put a winch in like mine chain the top plate down or lock it I left mine out on a back road after I set it down to pull someone out and left it.... great bumper, and great customer service, I bought mine third party and i got the wrong brackets. they mailed me the brackets and didnt even charge me for them and i didnt pay any shipping. just wish I could afford one for my Ford now...
