I am about to spend 1800 bucks on a front bumper from "BuckStop" bumpers. (after smashing a deer this last weekend... who needs a 30-06 when you can use a F250 at 80mph!) Everytime I make a big purchase like this... I spend the next Month hearing about what I "should of bought" that was better... so...
Does anyone have suggestions on good Heavy Duty Front Bumbers for under 2K?
right on ill check it out. Hopefully they have some blueprints. Through my fabrication experience I have found its way easier and turns out better to have a set of plans to reference. Everything seems to turn out nicer and waste less material. I have heard good things about roadarmor. I think what ever you buy will be strong enough just find something you like and get that sucker comming
Update: per advice I looked at the RoadArmor front bumper and grill guard. Found it advertised on EBay through a company called TopGunCustomz which had a price of $1783 for the bumper I wanted. They claim to be RoadArmor's number one dealer. I went to purchase it from them and they did not honor the advertised price and instead wanted $2100.00 plus. Key word here is "honor"! I am looking elsewhere. "Buckstop" seems to have a good one for around $1800... check it out. Fabricating one myself is not an option for me although I did consider bolting a 6x6 piece of oak up front for deer smashing purposes.
RanchHand bumpers rule in Texas. I suggest you give them a look. They are designed for work first, and then looks. IMO they give the front of the SD a very aggressive look.
I've seen firsthand a Ranchhand tackle a cow and the truck drove home. I want one, but shipping will kill me
Here is a Ranchhand like Tylus mentioned on my 05, from just about every angle. The plate behind the license plate I made to cover where a winch would go, otherwise that area would be open.
