Guys, Hopefully a new friend (Scott) will stop by and join your group soon.
I just met him tonight when I sold him a trailer tongue jack.
He has a NICE '06 F350 Crew Cab Dually XLT 6.0, and a couple of other special interest GM cars.
Scott is having a problem with his a/c that sure sounds like a gap problem with the a/c clutch which I explained to him had been discussed over on the '99-'03 7.3 forum-I guess you 6.0 guys have experianced the same thing and its fix?
Anyway.........Scott IS an active serviceman at our Patrick Air Force base in Satellite Beach, Florida, and during our chat I failed to thank him for his service to our country......THANK YOU SCOTT!!!!! (and hopefully welcome to the FTE!!)-Rick (SuperCab)
Rick, aka. supercab! Thanks for the warm welcome. I appreciate you taking the time to introduce me to the site and let me know about the AC fixes. I'm going to work on it soon and hope to find an answer. Suppose I'll start with researching the threads and then ask the dreaded question if I can't find an answer! HAAH!
welcome to fte scott. thank u for your service. i've been in myself for 5 years. thank u for doing a job none of us can. thank u for keeping all of us safe.
btw, benny provided a good link for u. u might wanna check it out. if u can narrow down the probs, symptoms, burbs, noises, sighs, jerks, jolts, etc., please chime back in and the senior guys, techs, techies, fellow 6.0 owners, (maybe even trekkies like myself) will chime in.
hope u find this forum and the resources very useful in time to come like i have. happy thanksgiving to u and ur family!
It is always good to have military members actively posting here - it helps us remember that there are many folks making a huge sacrifice in their lives so that we can enjoy peace in ours - many thanks!
Thank you all for your warm welcomes. I read through some of this information, and there's a lot, last night. I think I stayed up too late but it sure is taking the mystery out of my diesel. Happy Thanksgiving, happy and safe holiday wishes to you all. Scott
