wheel repair

does anyone know of a company that straightens bent steel wheels? does anyone have one or two 16" 8 hole wheels for sale? i will buy them even if the valve stem hole is rusted as i am able to repair.

I'd think that American Wheel Specialist in Pasco, WA, would be able to straighten rims. You'd have to check with them. Phone is (509) 543-9305. I have a couple of F-2 16s if you need them. Pretty sure the valve stem holes are good but I think one has a small hop when rolled across the floor which says it's found a pot hole at some point. Stu

insurance companies make us use reconditioned wheels in the body biz with the exception of steel. none of our wheel places we deal with do steel wheels.

Stockton Wheel has been closed up after Frank's death. Rumor had it that employees were gonna buy and reopen it, but has that happened? Personally, before going to Stockton I'd do a Google search for their reputation history. Before Frank's death their were comments on several boards by unhappy customers. Hopefully new ownership can restore that reputation. Stu
