allright! I supported the transmission with a jack, loosened all the bellhousing bolts a little and then was able to turn the engine by the crank, it was real tight, I kept turning it hoping the T/C would seat in more and sure enough it did, while I was turning it all of a sudden I heard a little noise from theT/C area and the the engine was turning ALOT easier! I checked the bolts comming out of the T/C and they were poking through the flexplate just a little instead of all the way. Tightened all the bolts and still turns freely. thanks for all the suggestions, I am very glad I was able to correct my mistake without taking the engine out again.

Thanks

allright, for the life of me I can't find a manual on this truck. 2004 F250 V10 superduty. I have been to Kragens, Autozone, Napa, and an independent shop in town and no one has books on ford trucks bigger then F150.

searched online and found different answers for the tourque specs I need. one says 45ft/pnds another say 95ft/pnds. and so forth.

is there a website that anyone knows of. I need the specs to the bellhousing bolts, the T/C bolts, motor mount bolts, and incase there it's acutally required, I need the specs to the bolts for the A/C Compressor and the power stearing pump to the engine. I am thinking there isn't specs for those but I have been wrong plenty of times before.

Thanks

I have the factory service manual for these pickups so I will look a little later tonight and find out and let you know. I bought what I thought to be a DVD for the 1999 F-250 Super Duty since that is what I own and I got it off ebay for 18 bucks and free shipping and it said it was a complete factory service manual. When I opened it up I was a little worried as the CD label said 2000 through 2008. When I put the DVD into the computer I found out it goes from 1997 through 2008 and covers all Ford, cars, turcks ect..... It turned out to be an even sweeter deal that I had hoped for!

Scratch that, I will just add them now as they were easy to find. The second number is in FT Pounds and the thirnumber is in inch pounds.

Perfect, that's just what I needed. and that's a heck of a deal for 18 bucks, I'm going to be looking for that.

I noticed the number relation changes, it says tourque specifications are ft/pounds, then inch/pounds, but if you look down the list at first the largest number is first, but then it switches to the smallest number is first, and then switches back.

thanks again that's a big help.

The first set of numbers are metric for are Canadian friends. The second and thrid numbers are for us Americans. You can convert inch pounds to foot pounds by times or divide by 12 depending on which way the conversion has to go. A lot of people dont own torque wrenches let alone one in inch pounds.

You cant beat a factory manual, especially one that is cheap! They have paper copies of the Super Duty manuals for sale on ebay as well but they usually push 200 bucks so I can print off a lot of paper copies for that. Just search on ebay and you should be able to find it pretty wasy, if not let me know and I will get you to the page/seller I bought mine from.

sweet! I noticed that, torque wrenches are fairly inexpensive, and a must if you ask me.

Thanks.

allright- I've had a few set back but making good progress, I'm done working on it for tonight, tomorrow I need to try and figure out the vacume lines and all that good stuff going to the throttle body, I think the replacment engine is a little different then the old one as for the throttle body. unfortinutly there was a core charge on the old motor so I don't have it anymore. there is a tube running a long the back of the engine comes up by the edge of the block where the intake manifold bolts to the engine on the passenger side. does anyone know what that tube is for. I am thinking the hose that connect to that tube goes to a port on the throttle body that isn't there on the replacement motor. also on the front of the engine passenger side where the radiator hose hooks up too, there is a little hose comming off of that going to somewhere on the throttle body, but on the replacement motor that little port by the radiator hose is capped off and I don't see a port where it would go to on the throttle body, if anyone knows about the little changes between the throttle body's that would be helpfull. if I can't figure it out then I will just continue on the rest of the things I need to finish up to attempt to start it. and go from there.

Thanks.

yea I have pics of the motor before I pulled it, they have helped ALOT, just two hoses that I think are not on the new motor. and I don't know what they are for. I'm not sure if I can simply cap them off or if I need to get my hands on the same type of throttle body that was on the old motor.

thanks.
