The factory gauge reads in the middle once the transmission is warmer than 50°F.
What was the thinking there Mark? With the trans temp at normal, and the coolant temp barely off the peg it looks a little odd. I saw someone post the question " does my trans have a heater?" lol

In all honesty, and this is a complaint that I've had for a long time, I wish Ford would just have not put any gauges in the cluster at all except tach, fuel, speedo if they can't have it to where it relays accurate info to us. It serves no useful purpose if it can't accurately display info.
By accurate info, I mean positions that translate into less ranges then a 50° spread (or whatever the spread may be). I also prefer numbers to the "C", "Normal", "H" that it currently displays. Do you see "slow", "average", and "fast" on the tach and/or speedo?
If they are afraid that people will keep coming in, because they don't know what ranges are normal for their trucks then just don't put them on there. Just have a light that goes on when something is happening. Effectively that's what you have anyway with how they have their gauges setup now for those that think the stock gauges are good enough.
[quote=Mark Kovalsky;11031202]Why would you put a second cooler in that truck? It already has a cooler in the radiator and a HUGE air to oil. Does the second cooler have 1/2" fittings and minimum 1/2" passages? If not you're adding restriction that will reduce cooling and hurt the transmission.
My truck is 12k lbs everyday with the bed empty, and my dump trailer is another 10k on occasion. I have come out of the quarry with a load of stone at a GCVW of 23,000 lbs
I put the 2nd cooler on when I first got the truck and was getting it set up.
I just wanted to be sure i did not have any heat issues with the tranny.
And yes it has all 1/2" lines and fittings.
