Dont mean to hijack but speaking of JBWeld, has anyone else noticed any epoxy on the backside of the upper fuel filter housing? while doing my blue spring I found this,
Is that a factory thing or has someone repaired it? I pulled the filter and could't see any cracks from the inside. It looks like a good job and it's not leaking.
If any thing brass compression fittings are the way to go.
I used compression fittings on the spliced line heading back to the lower filter, those worked fine, then the piece close to the upper one side holds perfect, but the other side was almost bent and I had to hammer in the bolt and compression fitting since I couldn't get the pipe straight. That spot right there is the only spot that still has compression fittings and connected but also has JBWeld on it. Tuesday when I get the actual line, the broken line will be gone and I can get the correct line and NO leaks and NO JBWeld on it.
Well the JBWeld is holding, right now there is a little bit of fuel when I feel the line. Can't wait until I get my new line and get it connected so I don't have to worry about it breaking.
The first picture is of everything disconnected heading into the job, second picture is of the return line were it finally snaped, if you notice it's right around the bend. The third picture is my fix until I get my new line in.
