While taking the truck apart the olive on the ip inlet line from the fuel filter housing is disintegrated. Can i attach it without the olive temporarily?
I have cut small pieces of 1/4" fuel line to work short term. Putting it back together w/o an olive will run like a faucet. I have ordered from Jim Vreeland Ford for replacements.
I replaced mine with a rubber fuel line hose. Got a barb fitting at the hardware store and NMB2 got me the fitting for the ip. Makes it easier timing also.

Thanks, I found out i have new olives with my kit. Who would of thought. I guess i should look at stuff more closely. Great parts source. I'm bookmarking that. Thanks Ben!

Wow i feel stupid. I just looked at them and your right. For some reason i thought they were nylon spacers or something. They look different when they are not on the lines.

I wondered why they decided to use steel lines. I suppose durability. They can be a bit of PITA to get on. Hows the hose holding up?
I can only imagine adjusting the timing is easier without having to fight with a hard line.
I may end up replacing the hardline in the future as i want to put another better filtering fuel filter after the stock one to keep junk out of the pump.
There's a hard line going into this fitting, and then it has a rubber line that runs down the back of the motor towards the tank that's clamped on. I believe another soft line that goes to the other side of the motor for the return is hooked in here too.
i'm pretty sure thats the 5/16 one, but honestly if you're going to change any of them, change all of them. it'll save you a lot of headache in the end
