Duralast is now producing in the USA?

About a month ago I bought a Duralast intake manifold and was stamped made in the USA. I was bit surprised and skeptical but today I bought a Duralast starter and same thing stamped on the starter Made in the USA. Did China name a city USA or is this legit? If so who's Duralast supplier and if this is true I'm going to start buying more Duralast stuff.

Just be careful with rebuilt parts. The item may have originally been built in the US so the case is still stamped that way, but the rebuild might have taken place elsewhere or with products made from elsewhere.

Intake manifold is likely US made if stamped that way. But I'm guessing by another 3rd party who just private labels for autozoo and others.

I just installed Duralast Gold rotors and brakes on the front last week.

Getting tired of getting poor items and service at Advance Auto. Their prices are climbing and they won't always price match, though they claim they will.

I really like the rotors and we have a quality manager at our local store.

Finding out they have more stuff Made in USA? Awesome!!!

Duralast doesn't make anything. They are a distributor not a manufacturer. They buy parts from whoever is cheapest or most convenient at the time. I've even seen OEM sensors in Duralast boxes, but they were oddly enough more expensive than the same part from the dealer.

I purchased a IACV for my Honda at Autozone and it was a Denso. Cheaper then most and still OEM.

did it say made in U.S.A. or made in USA ?

years ago Japan was making cheap parts labeled Made in USA.
all America made parts were made in U.S.A.
the periods made the difference.

i doubt if they were made in Japan, they bowed out of manufacturing after china started making parts for 2 cents on the dollar.
just like japan did back in the 70's and 80's
