Thanks Dave
I had the starter off and put a new brush set on and it works better, but I still have to use a lot of glow plug time to start it. The starter place I got the parts at didn't seem to want to work on it. He said it had been warm and told me how to clean it up . I have worked on starters and alternaters for years, untill I got a little more money and they started to offer lifetime warantys for about the same price as the parts cost.
I not real sure , but I think that the starter place works on comerical things
and makes more money with that.
Any way thanks again for the info.
Mike
There is a small one in Arkansas that rebuilds all of mine, mitsubishi, delco, and nippondenso. I do that on the really old trucks that I don't use much, but on my daily driver I keep one from a parts house with a lifetime warranty, makes things much easier.
