I have a 77 f150 4x4 351m,c6,205np
I know it works cause i had it in 4low and the torque it had was unreal nothing binded or nothing. My steering colume is just about wore out really hard to put in park. What i am saying is that sometimes it binds up after about five ft. I think it in the lyncage. How is the kickdown cable suppose to be does it have a spring that keeps it up or does the tranny control it. Fords are new to me and 4x4 i am a chevy man but this old ford has cought my eye for sure and i love it and would like to get her right.
something in the drive train binds up. i have used it before and i know it works four wheel drive but i think now it is in the lynkage or something. and is there supposed to be a spring on the carb to to kick down rod. and the steering shaft is on is last leg to.
He said it is really hard to put in park, thinks its the linkage, he might just have wore out bushings in the rod from the bottom of steering column shift lever to the trans shift lever.
