75 4x4 steering shaft compatability?
Hey there, I just towed home a mess of a '75 F250 4x4, and the steering shaft is separated at the "middle" knuckle, just ahead of the firewall. I checked out my reman steering catalog at work, and I know the GEARBOXES are different for 76-79 (this truck has the power assist ram deal), but I was wondering what other donors I could expect to scavenge a shaft assembly out of? Or if I can convert the mess easily to a later style gearbox? I can't seem to swing a dead cat without hitting a 78-79 around here, and I know the older ram setups are co$tly when you can find them.... thanks, TomD
