Hey Everyone. Brand new to the forums here. I picked up a 1992 2 door f-150 a few months ago. The 302 motor had 180k so I decided to rebuild it with all new pistons, cam, rebuilt heads with 2in Valves, everything. Since the cam has .56 lift i couldn't take out all the lash with factory non-adjustable rocker arms. I pulled the ram and valve covers and replaced the rockers with COMP cams magnum adjustable roller rocker arms. I just put everything back together tonight the exact same way it came apart (so i thought ). I went to turn her over and it just makes one loud click! along with the ac, stereo ,and lights going out then nothing. Is it just a loose ground? I'm not really a electrical man. I checked the main ground on the passenger side to the block and the battery terminals are clean as a whistle and the connectors are brand new. Any help? thanx

Have the battery load tested. Yes it does sound like a bad ground, but do not overlook the battery.
Once you get it started you will probably find the computer may not work well with that cam. What are the rest of the specs. on that cam? Duration/LSA, etc.
One other thing to check...does the motor turn over with a wrench on the crank? I hope you are not experiencing valve the piston interference....
All that's good to go. I put 50 miles on the motor before i replaced the rocker arms. Before i started it the first time i turned it with a wrench. There were no problems starting before the new rocker arms. The only problems were a few lifters ticking and a few valves were to tight. All that should be fine now. It has to be wiring somewhere. The rocker arms wouldn't keep it from turning over. I only disconnected a few connectors. They were all put back though.
I just fixed it. Yall we're right the negative battery terminal had a weak connection. The new connector didn't have a solid connection. It runs beautifully now. Hums just as sweet as can be. And doesn't fall on its face when you put it in gear.
You can save yourself some grief down the road if you get some solder on ends and throw those clamp on end as far as you can,,,,,, actually a garbage can will do just fine!!
