shift flare when cold
I have a 2008 EB Expedition that has 2-3 shift flare when cold. As the transmission warms up it seems to go away, or at least not as noticable. It had the same problem last winter just not as bad as it is now. Had a reflash last year, and the transmission filter/fluid changed hoping it would correct the problem. The reflash helped improve a downshift thump it had but not the 2-3 shift flare. Has anyone else had the 2-3 shift flare and if so what was done to correct it? I plan on taking the vehicle to the dealer but would like to know if it is a common problem and what to expect for a fix.
