shift problems when cold

Im having shift problems when cold. 3rd into 4th. I have had shift kit installed for a year now and have not had any other problems with trans. does anybody think changing transmission bypass whould help.? any help here whould be great, 2001 f350 srw. thanks 01psd

Sounds normal to me when engine's cold; I just let it warm up some and take it easy the first minute of driving. After that all is well. Yours stay in 3d longer?

99psdcrew, yes it is real slow in 3rd to fourth. first and 2nd shift good.I saw article on diesel site about replaceing bypass valve and was wondering if this is my problem. thanks for your input. 01psd

my 01 also slow to shift to 4th on first drive on cool days, then normal after the next time it shifts
