Allright here is the low down..... I just replaced my front seal, pump o-ring and installed a transgo shift kit and after getting everything back together the truck started right up with 12-13 quarts of trans fluid i put the truck in reverse and it backed right off the ramps.... now here is the fun part.... the truck ONLY has reverse.
all of the linkage moves freely and park works but only when the truck is off but otherwise P R N D 2 1 all go backwards WTF!! Does anybody have any thoughts? It went forward before i started it just leaked alittle now all backwards
Are you confident that the internal linkage is properly connected? The internal linkage has to be aligned with the manual valve as the valve body is positioned.
If that is good, maybe post on the transmission page as there are some real C6 experts there.
That's the first place I would look. Internal linkage is not attached.
Can you free-rev the engine in park? If not, I would drop the pan and check the linkage. The pin on the linkage has to be in the groove on the manual valve spool.
