blown up c6??

1984 460 c6. started to slip in first. then got hard to get reverse. then while coming home from work today, started slipping real bad, then locked into first. i can move the shifter from first through neutral into reverse and it is still stuck in first. i think it is still in first when i shift to park...

help

the hard to shift is probably from a bunch of clutch material having gotten into the VB. it means you probably fried the clutches putting all that material into the pan to get into the VB.
