C-6 Trouble

I have an 86 F-250 with a C-6, the shift linkage on the side of the trans broke(hopefully from wear and tear). I took the pan and valve body out to replace it and put it back together, now it's in drive in all shifter positions. It worked really well before all this could some one help me out?

I would have someone shift the tranny in the truck when you under it (make sure the truck is off) and see if the linkage is moving. If it isnt moving much you may have to adjust it. If it is is moving like its supposed to you may have other issues.
