I'll definitely be cleaning up that engine compartment a little bit and doing something with those reverse lights!!

What the heck is that on the shifter? does the boot go all the way up? Just looks weird in the pictures.

Sounds like you found a nice truck! And you must have a great wife to go and pick it up for your!

I believe the thing on the shifter is to try and reduce the noise that transfers in to the cab on some of those older trucks. Some of them get really bad.... I know my old '74 was horrible for it and someone recomended to do something real similar to what's on this one.... we'll see if it really does anything, or it's gone!
