Injectors and bling. 2015 Power Rally
Attended SuperDuty's Power Rally again this year. With the amount of resources on hand I put Anthony, Julie, Corey and Ed to work on my truck. A previous low fuel pressure earlier this year led me to replace the HFCM, also the #1 injector spool valve was getting ugly on cold starts. Once you crack open the passenger side I feel it is a no brainer to replace all 4 injectors at that point. Although Anthony is busy with his event and meeting new customers, everyone dug in. Who has a Ford dealer on tap for a Sunday? Well not mine, so here we go!
Digging in and getting the injectors out:
Anthony was in and out in no time using his original SuperDuty Service wrench.
All injectors out, Corey steps in for the oil rails to inspect and replace O-rings using HHC Diesels products.
The vital point is to inspect for damage or wear. Mine were good to go and reassembled, torqued to recommended specs:
Julie is back with a box full of Goodies and also a new belt tensioner I requested .... For those of you that struggle here is a close up of the locking tab on the tensioner included.
Time for quick bite, Yes they treat us very well, if you starve that is your own fault. Then the fun begins. $100 to anyone who can install the transmission tube from the engine compartment in under 15 seconds, game on.
Truck is done, all 4 injectors replaced, nipple cup O-rings, belt tensioner and no clear Winner of the 15 second challenge, although it was close. Time for Ed from FICM repair to step in, he also programmed the spare FICM I won last year in the drawing to match my original. Ed helped Anthony with the installation of a DC Power 270XP with cable upgrade.
Finished and time for test run.....

The person behind a business is seldom seen. That is not the case with SuperDuty Service and Ed at FICM repair. I actually caught Ed working...... For those of you that cannot attend or thought about attending functions or events put on by suppliers, it really is the place to find new products and facts you may have missed.
I give you Ed.....
I give you Ed.....

Great pics, and nice to see you all had a great time. Hi Julie! Hi Tony! MAN that barbeque looks real good.
Hi Ed! Watch the cable under the rad mounts. My driver side was too snug and started to crease the pretty red cover, I have since moved that cable outside of the rad brackets. Seems to lay there happily now..

Very cool write up!!!! With all the stuff going on,,, I think it took about 100 hours to finish. Lol. Thank you John,,, it was AWESOME to have you and Dawn out again.
We also needed to put a y pipe on Eds ex,,, but we didn't make it that far. We did toss a set of mirrors on the ex at about 11:00pm Sunday.
