On the truck in my sig my passanger side window is coming off of track or something. When i push the button for it to go up all you hear is the motor working but it hardly ever goes up. Also sometimes when i push the button for it to go up it will fall down some.
What is most likely the cause of this and how would i fix it?
Some people say you can use small (5/16"?) nuts to replace these plastic bushings, but I have never tried it...
I've heard that also, but with my luck I will stick to the plastic parts, if I were to try to use the 5/16 nuts something would hang up and it would cost me a fortune to fix rather than shear the plastic..
Some things sure do need upgrading but I believe a power window needs the "plastic fuse".
I've had the nuts in there for... 7 years now? they will work fine, that the door's electric motor out, then get to the gear in the lower half and replace the plastic button wih the nuts. To get to the three screws holding the motor in place you might need to do some drilling if the motor has never been serviced.
