Well my rear window started leaking again. So I went ahead and bought the TSB fix for it and then I removed the rear window today. It was only 105 outside...
The bad part was that the frame for the window was cracked. The good part was that the stuff I used to seal the window to the truck was intact and was very difficult to remove. It didn't leak through the seal at all.
So for now my truck has no rear window in it and tomorrow I'll go down and get a one piece window shipped ASAP!
The window came in today. I installed it as soon as I got it home. The shop sold the window to me at costs - $395 plus tax. Ouch!
There may have been cheaper source but they were at least an hour away. The one piece unit actually improves visibility since you don't have the pillers from the sliding one taking up so much of the view.
Now I got this here doo hickey that is mentioned in the TSB and I have no use for it. At least I was prepared.
