Hey guys, I have a 1999 f350 with 7.3....my trans goes right into overdrive after 4th gear almost right away that really hurts my pulling power....is something wrong and what can I do....also looking for more horsepower....tks dc

I think you mean it goes into overdrive (4th) just after the TC locks in third. Thats just the way the 99 pcm shift strategy is. (my 99 did the same thing, and it is annoying...
)
A custom chip will most likely come with PMT1 shift strategies and will space out the shifts. Plus if you get some tow tunes it will further spread out the shifts and hold 3rd until about 50 mph before shifting into 4th.
DP tuner / PHP / Tony Wildman / BTS are a few recommended names who can set you up with a chip.
You also could swap out the PCM with one from a 2000/2001 (NVK4/PMT1) to get better shifts, but a tuner will give you the power along with better shifts.
