Odd shifting w the DP...?

Ok,
So I was in Asheville last weekend visiting the fam and I decided to go ahead and pull the trigger on a DP chip. Jody even took the time to install the chip for me! Great guy, though I don't think I need to say that here I think its pretty much common knowledge by now... I am going to be hauling a big load tomorrow and I figured why not? So I have been loving the chip but one concern is that my tranny is shifting slower in the econ and race modes. It seems to be normal in the 1-2 shift in any mode and stock and 40hp tow mode. I assume it is because with the added power the chip is asking more of the tranny but I'm concerned because it seems to be shifting slower and not faster and that just doesn't make sense to me. Is this normal or am I harming my transmission. I'm freaking out a little bit and I'm about to haul a 4Runner + 5 people and gear up to the mountains tomorrow.

Jody told me he tunes the chip to shift higher in the RPM band for a number of reasons, including more power and lower EGT. Lugging is not advised. He also told me that he would be happy to retune it to shift like the 40hp mode. I thought about it, but decided that, as a tuner, he has valid reasons for believing that the higher hp modes should shift at higher rpms. I decided to defer to his experience and knowledge on this one.

Just another reason why I prefer manual trannies...

So you are experiencing slower shifts as well? I understand changing the shift points and where on the RPM range the truck shifts. But it feels (to me) as though it is shifting slower and rougher. ie it feels like there is more slipping and the truck actually lunges forward when under partial load/throttle position. Is anyone else experiencing this?
