28psi to much?
28psi to much?
Had 2500lb in the bed and hit a fairly steep grade doing 65. Had to get around a tractor-trailer so I floored it,it downshifted and gained speed, then I noticed 28psi on my scangauge.I can honestly say that's the first time its been to the floor, and I've never seen over 24psi empty.no puking, and no cel. She took off like a scalded dog up that hill though.
Even with studs, I like that Matt's tunes keep me at 28psi max. I definitely had some problems going over 30psi (pre-studs) - and my truck was happy to do that stock (un-tuned), so be careful with the skinny pedal. I set my Edge to alarm at 29.
Over 28 on a stock motor is playing russian roulette in my op.
We have a 4 door long box 2006 F350 SRW 6 liter powerstroke for a work truck. When you put it to the floor the factory gauge goes up to 30psi and the needle sits right on it. It has 166k on it and no problems. I have an 04 6 liter with a bullydog outlook. I have a quadzilla module in it but I have yet to see over 26psi.

Add me to the list of guys playing roulette then. I'm running a stock engine and I've seen my EV2 hit 30psi on a WOT blast up the on-ramp. I call it excerising the turbo vanes...but in all reality it's an excuse to have a little fun during the commute to work at 0445 in the morning
When the gauge is showing 30psi, I'm also seeing EGT between 1200-1300F. These little blast don't last more than 20-30 seconds, and the truck isn't puking.

Mine would get to about 30 when pulling my fifth wheel up hills. Then the head gaskets went. Lucky for me I was under warrenty. I now have ARP studs but am still careful about pulling more than 30. The $5000.00 would be out of my pocket now.
