I have the same question.
I just put in a SCT X3 and was running aggressive tow tune (one of the ones that was posted here from Spartan) Love it, Love it, Love it. I had an Edge with Attitude in the truck but it is pitiful compaired to the SCT. (I am talking about drivablity and feel, improved transmission feel, everything. Did I mention that I love it?) The Edge is now a pretty monitor.
The other day I was on the freeway doing about 75 for about a 30 mile stretch. I noticed that the boost pressure was steady between 18 and 20. That is about double what it use to be at a steady state. ( I live in Louisisan and we do not have any hills, just bridges.) I have been towing before and the pressure got up like that but not without towing or passing.

Well officer, I have the edge with the ability to set a max pressure. (reduces it by defueling) anyway, I set it at 25 and might have it that twice by towing up long hills at higher speeds.
I have seen post here where people state that 30 psi is OK for stock bolts.

I just re-read your question.
the 6.0 has a variable pitch vains on the exhaust side so that is a hard question to answer. (computer controlled) That is why I was talking about max pressure.
I see 28 psi regularly, I do however keep a close eye on my EGT's when boost levels get up above 25 psi. I donot like to see it above 1150* when towing. I know that its nothing to worry about at that temp, but I just like to keep a close on things. I need this thing to last me a long long time.
with my egr delete in place i have hit 35 psi with a load in the hills hope the arp's hold her together lol
My studs held the heads down at 45 so you should be safe at 35.My stock bolts let go and I mean let go(the only part of the gaskets that wasn't de-lammed was between 3/5 and 2/4),I had 3 ton in the box and 35psi of boost and the sct canned performance tune in at the time.
I do not know why I am never able to hit above 20psi...even when I am on it hard.
I have the turbo out right now for the EGR full delete and am planning to service the turbo.....I hope I find some stuck veins or something that might point to my lower than average boost.........
Yes it has always been plugged in. Now that I am doing the full EGR delete with new up-pipe from First Coast Diesel, I opted to keep the EGR in the manifold (they normally weld the orifice shut) for appearance purposes. Is it necessary to unplug it since there are no more exhaust gases flowing in there?
Does the ECM recognize that the EGR is plugged in (even if there is no exhaust to it) and allow it to function regulating boost max levels?
