Before I get into to much trouble I thought I would ask a question about how to service the rear window mechanism. Mine is very intermittent and am worried one day I'm not going to be able to close it. Where is it accessed from and are they the same type of motor as the door locks?
Thanks, I will check. My problem is that sometimes they work and other times they don't. My fear is that they wont shut and it rains... I'll post if I find anything interesting.
You mean the rear passenger rollup windows right, not the rear hatch?
I would start by lubricating the window track with some silicone spray, it might simply be binding up.
Does it sound like the motor is running but the window is not moving? Did you try jiggling the wires where they lead into the door to see if it helped? Keep in mind it could be the window regulator as well.
If you are talking about the rear passenger windows here are a few links that might help you out to remove the panel and motor.
I would narrow it down by removing the panel, unhooking the window motor and testing the connector with a test light while operating all switches and go from there. Unless when you take off the door panel you notice the regualtor is broken.
Shoot, I'm so sorry, by rear window I meant the rear vent window and not the rear door window. I should have been more clear. As I mentioned it works intermittently and the window seals are clean. When it doen't operate I don't hear the motor even trying so would like to know how to get into this area. Many thanks.
Mine were having some issues a while back, just shoot them with some lube once a day for a couple of days you should be good to go. Worked for me anyway.

Pull the inside top rear trim pc, and then you can remove either side pcs that hide the motor and mechanism. Very easy to get to
