From the 2010 wiring diagrams
C525 connector for Door Lock Unit, Driver Side:
Green-Violet 20 gauge wire is Drivers door latch ajar switch. If the door is closed, then the latch switch is closed, which provides continuity from the Green-Violet to the 20 gauge Black-Gray ground wire.
2008 was the body update, 2009 was the powertrain update. So I would expect your 2008 to be similar/same for door-ajar latch switch as a 2010.
