Door Ajar Switch
when i bought my truck in April, the PO had removed the spring switch portion for the "door ajar" switch (that's what i've seen it called). my biggest problem is that i can't seem to locate it through advanceauto.com or similar sites. does anyone have any insight as to where to pick one up? my last resort is to take the one from the passenger side since the dome works for that door. thanks for any help!

advance auto online "door jam switch" for $7.43. my problem now is that i've gotta figure out if the wiring is messed. the unit from the passenger side, when installed on the drivers side, doesn't work. hmmmm???

Might have to remove the kick panel for a better look at the wiring. The drivers side switch has 3 wires, the extra being for the door warning system. Passenger side only has 2. The switches are identical. I got mine from the junkyard, they are plentiful and cheap there.
