My brakes operate normally unless I am attempting not to run into something. When I press the pedal firmly where the antilocks would kick in my brake pedal fades and braking power with it.
Thre is no pulse in the pedal
After fading 1/2 to 3/4" I am able to produce normal braking power but if I had a real emergency, I would lose precious feet of stopping distance and possibly wind up hitting something
No sure, but sounds like a good brake bleed/fluid change might be in order. Also by changing out the power steering fluid that helps with the brakes too!!! Crazy Ford trucks, huh.
But like I said. The breaks work great the majority of the time. It feels like the anti-lock is rotating off of the cam and just staying in the low spot.

Does it doing that when you on bad road that cause rear end bounce off road?
I get that all times I hate. No matter how rough potholes then ABS would kick for 2-4 seconds when I need STOP it would push me further about 10 feet.
Make me wonder why all PO unplug abs on Ford trucks when I bought. They stop great but not good in winter.
Its for people that can't drive in slippery conditions. Should be a factory option! The 'I can't drive option A with ABS, traction control, speed sensitive steering, etc.' Then the 'I CAN drive option B that would come strait up with no ability altering gadgets.' Thats the vehicle I would get!
It sounds like you have rear wheel anti lock brakes and not 4 wheel ABS. Do you know which you have?
Not sure which I have. I just find it odd that braking power would subside like that. I have had other cars with ABS and they pulse when heavy braking is applied.
I have noticed this happen when I hit a pot hole or bump.
