brake issues

brake issues
this only happens when i brake real hard! which is rare but if i apply alot of pressure to the brakes my pedal will all of the sudden loose pressue and go in, then become firm again near the bottom, is this normal?

Mine, on occasion, does the same thing. ABS activating.
"During the 4WABS operation, the driver may feel a pulsation in the brake pedal, accompanied by a slight up and down movement in the pedal height. In addition, a mechanical noise from the engine compartment may be heard. The pedal effort and pedal feel during normal braking are similar to that of a conventional power brake system."
