Thanks for joining the SoCal chapter - here's a link to your intro thread in the chapter forum:

Post up and tell us a little about yourself and your truck.

35 years with basically the same company. Started with AT&T in 1966. Got drafted in 1968. Got out of th Army in 1969 and when I went back to my job it had moved to Pacific Bell. Pacific Bell had most of California and Nevada. It was bought by SBC in 1996. I retired in 2001 fromm SBC. Subsequently SBC bought AT&T and took the AT&T name. Almost my entire career was in switching. Started in 5 X-Bar, migrated to 1AESS and finished my career in 5ESS. I was in the CWA except for 5 years in management from 1981 until 1986. Didn't care for management at all. Didn't get to work on the equipment or tell whoever to go screw themselves. I moved here to Payson AZ when I retired.

My MOS was 11 Bravo. I spent a year in the boonies with the 2BN 12INF 25DIV. I was in the hospital for 7 days and on light duty for 28 and then right back to the boonies. That was March 4, 1968 until mid April. I left Nam an E5 Sgt. Passed on a commision and a promo to E6. But that's another story.
