My passenger side window will move like normal until it gets to the bottom half of the opening then it sounds like the motor is working extra hard to pull it the rest of the way down. This only happens in the lower half of the opening so the same thing happens when its going up. The whole assembly inside the door has been changed twice, it was changed again because it was under warranty and we thought it was the assembly. After changing it it worked better periodicly but no its back to its old ways. could it be wiring or a fuse? in the winter sometimes it almost doesnt make it all the way up. Anything you guys know about this would be great. Thanks in advance!

Reason: Fix thread title
BUMP, does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? basically my window slows down at about half way going either up or down and in the winter it somtimes barley goes up, the motor and everything has been replaced twice with no luck.
A few years ago I helped one buddy of mine out before with an F150 that had a similar window problem. I know it my not be exactly the same set up but its got to be close...
So the cables inside the the door that do the work of the window motor, slipped off the pivot wheels and started to frey from the added friction, and started acting up as your is. by the time I got to it the window would not move at all. The freyed cable was so bad it would no longer travel through the cable housing. In your case, you say everything was replaced, but I could see a service writer ordering a motor and switch with wireing.... but i can imagine they may overlook these cable pulleys. Its worth a shot to check out.
P.S. Like I said im not even sure these doors are set up the same, but if they are its worth a try... Hope this helps, Mark

Any knowledge is much appreciated, im only 18 so I don't have access to alot of tools that would be handy but you im always looking for ways to fix things so one day Ill be able to save a few $$$.
Well taking off the door requires few tools, mostly common tools. just pay attention to how it comes apart, and get in there and look around. peeling off the plastic behind the door panel my require some glue to put back down, but not usually... before you take it apart, secure some lube as described previously, lube it anyway since its apart. Good luck
Yeah I just got the panel poping tool which makes it easier and this door ppanel is broken anyway lol alt of hooks are broken from when they replaced the motor..I never noticed but its pretty no big deal.
