Lug nut question...need some insight
I recently bought a wheel lock and lug nut set from the parts store and noticed when I put them on, that they really didnt seem to "seat" as nice as I would like for them to have. I noticed that my old ones I took off has a larger, deeper tapered end, that seemed to nestle down into the wheel hole / cut out surrounding the stud.
I went back to the local parts store, and they really couldnt offer any help...granted most of these folks that work there is total dependant on the computer / parts look up for insight and knowledge.
Does anyone know where I can find some tapered lug nuts? Its kind of hard for me to describe, but will try and get some pics up when I can.
Also, here is the kit I bought/retured :

Both these 'genuine' Ford kits are made by McGard. Whatever kit you buy...write down the code for the special lug nut tool (the code is included with the kit) in a location you'll remember.
Most peeps throw away the package...and the tool number, don't record the number separately. So, they're up **** creek without a paddle when the tool goes missing!
McGard has an 800 number you can call to buy a replacement tool (you must have the tool number). When I sold these puppies, I told customers to buy an extra tool ASAP, keep it in the glove box.
