pulling 390 w/ C6
I bought a 76 F250 with 390 and C6 as a parts truck and will be pulling the motor. I just wondered if there were any tips or tricks to doing it? I'll try to post up pics as it happens.

to give you more room you can pull the front clip or just the front grille. i usually opt not to but beings you are pulling the tranny as well i would go this route. and i would deffinately pull the hood off. and last but not least i would offer beer to a buddy or two to help you out. it makes things easier and actually more fun in my opinion. and remember every 15 minutes take a beer break

I pull the entire front clip. 8 bolts per side, the wiring harness, (if not butchered) just unplugs. Undo the radiator hoses, and then lift out the entire front. pull the hood, and then its all out in the open! re-install is just a simple matter of going backwards! The bonus of this method, to me, is the fact that when re-installing the front clip, you won't need to fight to get the proper body alignment! 8 bolts per side aligned with the visible positioning of where they came from.
