If you fit them, I'd keep the 33's. Better tire choices in 33's I think too. Everything seems expensive these days. I hate to even price a good set of 35's

Tire sizes can vary widely anyways.. there might really only be less than an inch difference between one brand 31 and another brand 33.. sorta why I don't get why people make such a big deal about it with gearing and power. I guess 31s to 35s are significiant, 31s to 37s, you defintiely have me there but I think the Bronco in stock form is MORE than capable of handling it for a few hardcore offroading trips.

Anyways, without a lift 33s will rub a little but they will fit if your springs are in good health. You also have to be concerned with stock wheels and 33s, 8'' wide aren't going to hold 12.5''s that well and you probably will get rubbing on full steering lock.

General rule for Broncos though, 31s or 33 with possible rub in turns or heavy wheeling with no lift, 33s or 35s for a 4'', 35+ for 6''. 33s are easy to fit in a stock 84, if you have any trouble because of sagging springs or whatever else, you shouldn't have to trim much to make them fit.

My personal preference would be 31 or 265s for no lift, 33s for a 2''-4'' and 35s or 36s for a 6'' lift, that will keep your tires from ever touching your body or rubbing on turns. Stick to 12.5'' wide or more narrow, even the stock tires with stock wheels come really, really close to rubbing at full lock.

and good luck on the valve covers.. they never wanna seal right if they were overtightened. I fought with mine for a year before putting down the money for some thick aluminum Ford Racing covers.
