I'm looking at purchasing a 2007 kr with the 6.0 and was wondering if there was anything to look for in the 2007 different than the early models of the 6.0?????? any help is welcome.
Three main things are:
1. Read the codes (if any)
2. maximum temperature differential between the oil and coolant
3. high pressure oil pressure (icp reading vs IPR duty cycle)
You need a scan tool (like Scangauge II, Edge CTS, DashDAQ, etc) to monitor these.
A scangauge is $140 to $160 and well worth the investment when buying a used 6.0L (IMO).
It would also be good to find a way to read the fuel pressure at WOT, but you would need to add a gauge (or electronic sending unit) to the test port in the secondary fuel filter housing - and that costs a fair amount.

+1
Anyone looking at a used 6.0l should have a SGII along for the test drive.
