my 6.0 diesel in a 2003 F250 guit me on the road. The truck seemed way underpowered and slowed down more as I drove, it finallyquit. I checked the fuel supply and all filters and lines were clear. There was no codes and all showed okay on the scope. My oil level was down and we refilled it but still no luck starting it. Any suggestions?
How about a friendly dealer. You need two things, fuel pressure and oil pressure. Electrically it would just shut down. What do you have to scan for codes?

HANG ON...go look for the thread "05 Dies while doing 70 on the interstate ". He has a SIMILAR issue but not exactly the same as yours. It may provide some clues.
Its only a guess but if she was down a few quarts you may have starved the hpop and there for your injectors cant do their job.How many quarts were you down and did you recheck it after cranking it over a couple times.
I too have an 03 6.0 that quit on me when it only had about 3500 miles on it. I made it into a dealer in Oklahoma and I got lucky and got a good technition. He knew what it was right away. There is a wire bundle burried on the front of the engine that is routed wrong. The fan belt cut through one of the wires that goes to the cam sensor. He rerouted the bundle and repaired the wire. No problems since. Just thought that might possibly be your problem also.
